AWS and Humain Partner on Multi-Billion Dollar AI Zone in Saudi Arabia

Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Humain, a Saudi Arabian AI company backed by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), have announced a strategic partnership to establish a dedicated "AI Zone" in Saudi Arabia. This collaboration involves a significant investment of over $5 billion.

AI Zone to Drive Innovation and Development

The AI Zone will leverage AWS's advanced cloud infrastructure, including servers, networks, and specialized AI resources. It will also offer training and certification programs to foster local talent development. Humain will develop AI solutions using AWS technologies and collaborate with AWS to provide Saudi Arabian AI startups with access to essential tools and programs.

This partnership follows other major tech companies like Nvidia, AMD, Google, and Salesforce, who have also engaged with Humain and the PIF on AI-related projects and investments in Saudi Arabia.

AWS Expands Presence in Saudi Arabia

This substantial investment in the AI Zone is in addition to AWS's previously announced $5.3 billion investment to develop a new AWS region in Saudi Arabia, expected to launch in 2026. This demonstrates AWS's growing commitment to the region's burgeoning tech sector.

The partnership aims to accelerate AI adoption in Saudi Arabia and globally, contributing to the kingdom's ambition to become a leader in artificial intelligence.

This collaboration between AWS and Humain represents a significant step in advancing AI development and infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, with potential implications for the global AI landscape.
