Gemini Expands to Wear OS, Google TV, and Android XR
Google announced at the Android Show preceding Google I/O that its AI assistant, Gemini, is coming to Wear OS smartwatches, Google TV, and Android XR. This move expands Gemini's reach beyond smartphones, integrating it into more aspects of users' lives.
Gemini on Your Wrist
With Gemini on Wear OS, users can access AI assistance even when their phone isn't readily available. Imagine setting reminders while cooking or checking messages mid-workout. Gemini on Wear OS allows for natural language processing, so you don't need precise phrasing. It also connects with your apps, providing information at a glance.
Gemini will be available on Wear OS smartwatches in the coming months.
Gemini Enhances the Google TV Experience
Gemini on Google TV offers personalized content recommendations. Users can ask for age-appropriate movies or educational videos, making it easier to find what they're looking for. Gemini can also answer questions, providing a more interactive and informative viewing experience.
Gemini will launch on Google TV later this year.
Gemini Powers Android XR
Google is also integrating Gemini into Android XR, its platform for extended reality devices. Users will be able to control their XR headsets with Gemini, ask questions about apps and content, and even plan vacations with immersive videos, maps, and local tips.
When the first headset launches later this year, Gemini can help you do things like planning a vacation by surrounding you with videos, maps and local tips, and this helps you create an entire itinerary in minutes within this very rich, immersive experience.

Gemini on Android Auto
Gemini is also coming to Android Auto in the coming months. This will allow drivers to ask for directions to charging stations near specific locations, summarize messages, and get news updates, all hands-free.
