Meta Advantage+ Catalog Ads Now Feature Dynamic Overlays

Meta has rolled out a potentially impactful update for Advantage+ catalog campaigns: dynamic overlays. These overlays allow you to add eye-catching stickers to your product images, highlighting key information like price, discounts, and shipping offers.

According to Meta:

With dynamic overlays, you can show information from your catalog such as prices or discounts in a label on your ad media. This enhancement will currently only deliver to Facebook feed. Before you begin, make sure your catalog contains the correct product data.

Available Offer Types

  • Price: Show the current price
  • Strikethrough price: Show the sale price with the original price crossed out
  • Percentage off: Show the sale price with the percentage off the original price
  • Free shipping: Show free shipping info if available in the customer's location (requires a shipping cost of 0.0 in your catalog).

Advantage+ advertisers can choose to automatically apply the most relevant overlays or manually select and customize them.

While similar to Meta's previous catalog labels (now renamed "Dynamic Overlays"), this update offers enhanced control. You can now toggle each offer type on or off individually, providing greater flexibility.
