Apple is reportedly planning a staggered launch for its iPhone 18 lineup in 2026 and 2027. According to The Information, citing supply chain sources, the iPhone 18 Pro models will launch in Fall 2026.
The standard iPhone 18 and a new iPhone 16e are expected to follow in Spring 2027. This split release strategy marks a significant shift from Apple's traditional launch cycle.
Foldable iPhone and iPhone 17 Air Successor
The Information also reports a potential foldable iPhone launching alongside the iPhone 18 Pro in Fall 2026. Additionally, a successor to the rumored "iPhone 17 Air," a slimmer iPhone model anticipated in 2025 (per Bloomberg), is also expected in 2026.
Shifting Manufacturing to India
Apple is reportedly exploring manufacturing the less expensive iPhone 18 models in India. This move aims to diversify production and reduce reliance on China, potentially mitigating the impact of tariffs.
