LinkedIn Simplifies Video Embedding for Enhanced Content Sharing

LinkedIn has improved its post embedding feature, allowing users to embed videos directly without including the entire post. This update provides greater flexibility for integrating LinkedIn video content into websites and blogs.

Social media analyst Lindsey Gamble reported this enhancement, highlighting the cleaner design and new video-only option, which includes LinkedIn branding.

LinkedIn Video Embed

According to LinkedIn:

We've made updates to ensure that LinkedIn posts you embed on third-party sites look more polished and are easier to interact with. These improvements include a cleaner design, a compact preview option, and clearer acknowledgement that the content comes from LinkedIn, helping you build trust with your audience.

This valuable update simplifies adding contextually relevant video clips to blog posts and other online content. Instead of embedding an entire LinkedIn post, which can be redundant, users can now seamlessly integrate just the video.

New Embedding Options

When embedding a LinkedIn post, you can now choose from three options:

  • Embed with less text
  • Embed entire post
  • Embed video only

Note: Posts with multiple photos cannot be embedded, and only publicly shared posts are eligible for embedding.

With LinkedIn video engagement increasing, this update offers more opportunities to share and promote video content across the platform. Contextual embeds add value to external content while also highlighting LinkedIn's video capabilities.
