Spotify Upgrades AI DJ with Voice Control
Spotify has enhanced its AI DJ with voice command integration, offering premium subscribers a more interactive listening experience. This new feature, available in over 60 markets and supporting English, allows users to personalize their music selection using voice requests.
Previously, the AI DJ curated music and provided commentary. Now, users can actively control the experience. Request specific artists, genres, or change the overall mood of the playlist with simple voice commands.
How to Use Voice Commands
To access the voice-controlled AI DJ:
- Search for "AI DJ" in the Spotify app.
- Hold the DJ button on the bottom right to activate voice commands.
- For quick mood adjustments without specific requests, tap the DJ button.
Spotify initially launched the AI DJ in the U.S. and Canada in February 2023. Global expansion followed in August 2023, with Spanish language support added later in 2024. This latest update with voice control further enhances Spotify's personalized music offerings, building upon existing features like AI-powered playlist creation using text prompts.
